What is a Community
Church?

A Community Church represents a place where diverse individuals come together, united by a shared faith in Jesus Chrit, to support, love, and serve. People seeking spiritual growth, fostering relationships, and making a positive impact in the surrounding community.

Community Church

History of WBCC

Walvisbay Community Church is a “planting” from the Lord and opened its doors on December 2003. Today it is a vibrant church, nestled in the heart of our community, extends open arms to all. It fosters faith, hope, and unity, embracing diversity and celebrating Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit that bind us. With discipleship through the word of God, fellowship, passionate worship and outreach, we strive to nurture both faith and community bonds.

It is an honor to serve here in WBCC as your pastors. Jesus is head of this Church and we are dedicated to shepherd and guide you on your spiritual journey. Our three pillars are: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, love your neighbor as yourself and to seek and save the lost. The calling on my life is found in Eph 4:12 “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, until we become mature”

Our Ministries

Music Department
Because of His love.......this is why we worship!
@ WBCC, our desire is to worship God in Spirit and Truth! (John 4:24)
During corporate worship, the musicians and technicians serve creatively with their gifts, trusting that the heart of the Father will be revealed.
As thanksgiving, exuberant praise & truthful worship flow from a love relationship with God, we encourage all to keep Him as an absolute priority. Be clothed with His Word and continually pray! Walk in humility and the fear of the Lord.
Our desire is that every song, note, prayer and word will glorify God and compel us to love Him with all our heart!
PS 150:6 ‘Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord!....’
The Sound and Media team at church is responsible for managing audio, visual, and technical aspects of worship services and events. They handle sound equipment, multimedia presentations, and streaming to enhance the worship experience.

The Welcoming Ministry focuses on providing a warm and accepting atmosphere where people feel comfortable and accepted as they are.
It may involve activities such as greeting people at the entrance, providing information and assistance and guiding visitors to seating areas.
The goal is to ensure that everyone who walks through the doors of the church feels welcome and valued as a part of Walvis Bay Community Church.
The Service group is there to lend a hand with preparation and minor tasks before and after the service, so that the congregation members can enjoy the service without any distractions and unnecessary interruptions.
An intercession group exists to pray fervently, seek God's will and guidance, and intercede on behalf of individuals, the church, and the world. “A mighty piece of weaponry in the battle of prayer is God’s promise.”

H-E-R MINISTRY (HOPE-ENCOURAGE-RESTORE) We are a women's ministry focused on empowering, supporting, and nurturing women in their faith journey and personal growth.
How do we do that? By developing deep connections with one another, and to engage in meaningful service and discipleship.
The goal is to empower and equip women to live out their faith in all areas of life and make a positive impact in their families, communities, and beyond.
Solid Rock
Solid Rock Youth provides a supportive community where high school students can connect with one another, engage in worship and prayer, study the Bible, discuss relevant topics, participate in service projects, and develop their spiritual lives.
We aim to foster discipleship, personal growth, and a sense of belonging, while also encouraging young people to live out their faith in their daily lives.
Solid Rock Youth creates events and opportunities for the youth to share their personal testimonies, reflections, or spiritual journeys alongside their talents. Creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere will allow young people to express their faith and talents in a meaningful way.
These events often include retreats, conferences, mission trips, service projects, social outings, worship nights, and small group gatherings.
In response to God's mandate, as encapsulated in Matthew 28:19-20, our mission is to ..."Go" and extend the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are incarcerated, with God's living word infused by His love!
We do this through:
1. Church services inside prison,
2. Discipleship programmes inside Prison,
3. Training initiatives for Officers,
4. Journeying with ex-inmates.
We do outreaches to show God's love, meet needs, share the Gospel, and bring hope to communities.
Youth With A Mission is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.
Also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), we unite in a common purpose to know God and to make Him known.
